JON STRAS, ARCHITECT

I have been working in the design and construction industry for over 7 years. While obtaining an undergraduate degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Architecture, I took on co-ops over the summer breaks, and worked part time at CBT architects through junior and senior year. I focused on my thesis in my graduate year, and earned a Design Excellence Award. Upon Graduation, I dove head first into the Hub on Causeway while working at Gensler, collaborating with a large team across time zones and disciplines. While gaining experience in large multi use developments, hospitality, and healthcare, I also completed my Architectural Licensure requirements in 2018. In 2021, I shifted to Volumetric Building Companies, a vertically integrated volumetric modular company, where I have focused on adopting and developing products for DfMA, from plumbing fixtures to configurable housing units. When I am not working hard, I spend my time on home customization projects, golfing, snowboarding, or relaxing with my Wife, Daughter, Dog and 2 Cats in Woburn, MA.
